The OSI Model (CH 7 - 10) is very very important. Thoroughly study it as most of the papers will come from this topic. Study the working and tasks of each layer. TCP/IP is included.
Analog and digital signal, their working and difference. What is periodic and apriodic signals? (CH 11)
Properties of analog signal (amplitude, period & frequency, phase), time and frequency domain (CH11, 12)
Bandwidth, how to calculate and its definitions (CH 13)
In my thinking up to chapter 13 it is enough for someone to pass this course. Further we can’t say anything about paper.
